Brisbane Roar play Grand Final!

Posted under Blog, English

Hey how’s it going?

Hundai A-league major semi final 2011, Brisbane Roar vs Central Cast mariners – I watched this game at Suncoap Stadium on this Saturday night with Elias and Jose and it was just unbelievable atmosphere where there were a huge crowd and great cheering for Brisbane Roar!

We were just behind the goal and it was really close to the pitch so I could hear what they’re yelling out.

Surprisingly, I knew a couple players who used to play with and it made me work even harder because there’s always an opportunity to play like this top level if I can play well in the season.

As for the game, Germany import Broich scored great goal in second half and Brazilian import Henrique cracked equalizer in injury time. As a result of this, Brisbane Roar fight major grand final on March 14th at Suncoap Stadium.

Actually, it was a kind of worst performance of Roar, they still got a result and all great teams in the world are also similar, like end of the game they get result.

Anyway, Brisbane Premier League finally kick off from next Saturday against Brisbane Olympic so please everyone come and see our game and give us your cheering!

See ya!

Forza!! Elias!!

Jose!!

Raj Oshen

Posted under Blog, English, Soccer

Since I came to Brisbane, I have met so many people who are not only Australians but also wide range of diverse nationalities.

Honestly, I had prejudice of different nationalities and races before I came here because I didn’t have any opportunities to talk or being friend with any foreigners when I was in Japan. I guess I just didn’t know about them Until I met Raj…

I met Raj Oshen who used to be a main squad of Fiji national team, when I first training session with Brisbane Strikers, At the time, seriously I couldn’t speak English at all but Raj tried to make a communication with me by body language which actually worked and we could barely understand each other.

Since I met him, he had given me a lift until end of the season and also we had dinner together many times during the season. It was fantastic time for me to being with such great person and I decided myself that I’d help out if I saw someone who needs help.

I really appreciate his friendship and I’m so glad to meet him here, Brisbane.

I can say that I wouldn’t see person like Raj, if I were living in Japan and I own what I am here to him. Thank you Raj!

By the way, our first game kick off at 7pm at 5th March at Mt.Gravatt Howks Soccer Stadium so please come and join us the night!

Thanks!

Raj and me!

Redlands City Devils Trial Game

Posted under Blog, English, Soccer

Redlands Devils, I played this club for 2 years ago and we had a pre-season game against them at Redlands stadium last night.

Even though we couldn’t get result, all boys did extremely well throughout the game. Jeff did emphasis on make space and use space movement and action in the meeting before kick off the game and every single players at least tried what Jeff asked us to do in the game.

As a result, we had absolutely great movement and fantastic ball possession.

For me, I couldn’t take many triggers during the entire game that is one of the main reasons why we couldn’t win this game.

We’ve been focusing on teamwork strategies these days because we have got quality players who work diligently so we would be great squad if we work as team.

Also, it’s possible to achieve top4 if we can keep working on same attitude, same motivation even when the season kick off.

See you later!

TAKA

Posted under Blog, English, Football

Today, I’m going to introduce you to my mate, whose mane is TAKA who is playing for Youngheart Manawatu in New Zealand national football league as foreign guest player.

In 2005-2006 seasons, they finished runner up to champions Auckland City FC at the end of regular season.

I met him when I played for Michelton FC and we had some opportunities to play together which is really precious time and I hope he felt same way as I had.

Also, while he was working for efresh, he won the trust from Glenn because of his working attitude, diligence and honesty.

I have to say that he’s such lovely bloke who is loved by everyone.

Anyway, good luck for rest of season TAKA!!

Ciao!

Asian Cup Final

Posted under Blog, English, Soccer

Last Tuesday night we had a game against Taringa at Richmond Stadium and we lost by 2-1 with a huge shock.

For me personally, I couldn’t play well, in particular, first touch which I always have confident but tonight due to heavy rain just before the game, it made the field really slippery and as a result I made many easy mistakes during the game.

Although Taringa scored first goal, I could score equaliser by header from the corner kick from Ben after 10 minutes Taringa scored. Actually, I’m on fire because I scored 3 goals in 4 matches!

For second half, even though Jeff asked us to keep the ball as safely as possible, we made poor decision, as a result, Taringa scored winning goal just before finish game.

To be honest, we showed crowd how poor experienced team we are because we could have got through to final round if we were drew this game. But we couldn’t, no we didn’t make a right decision due to lack of experience. Now, our challenge of Silver Boots Cup has finished due to Brisbane Olympic beat Capalaba by 3-0.

Anyway, there’s good news before kick off the game – I was selected vice captain from Jeff which means I need to take more responsibility and I was honor to being it for 2011 season.

See you guys
